What You'll Do 

The Product Manager will be responsible for executing on the evolution of the  meez culinary operating system. Through constant monitoring of customers, competitors, and changes in the market, you will help define and maintain a product roadmap that delivers on customer needs and expands the meez position in the food tech market. You will ensure that functional requirements are complete and accurate and that development resources are effectively utilized. You will identify and mitigate risk, continually look to improve processes, and evaluate and prioritize the product backlog to ensure it is in alignment with the product roadmap and company objectives (OKRs). 

Essential Functions

The Product Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Product Oversight

  • View every opportunity through the lens of our First Principles.
  • Quickly come up to speed on the meez recipe management platform.
  • Breakdown and sequence high level initiatives into functional requirements based on customer insights, and competitive and market analysis.
  • Ensure that product requirements with user stories,  acceptance criteria, and success metrics are clear and understood by the development team.
  • Continually prioritize the product backlog, considering incoming product ideas, critical business issues, and their implications to the business and our customers.
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure we learn from every idea we put in front of customers.
  • Ensure that releases are aligned with management team goals and that features meet the definition of done.
  • Provide guidance on application functionality to other departments such as support, customer success, and professional services.

Executive Interaction

  • Provide regular status updates to their manager on product status from concept through launch.
  • Present to their manager the information necessary to make informed approval, prioritization, and tradeoff decisions.
  • Communicate key product metrics to the manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business owners and senior management. 

Must Have

  • 2-4 years of experience in software product management. (B2B SaaS preferred)
  • Experience in an Agile environment is required.
  • History of delivering 0 to 1 products
  • Strong technical acumen is a must.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Highly detail-oriented and intellectually curious.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!):

  • Experience/knowledge of the culinary space is a definite plus, but not required.
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience is a plus.
